10am+ - The Ubuntu server installation was completed and Eighty shut it down so we could move into the Dry Collection.
We'd decided to house the server there where the collections require cold temperatures so there is plenty of cold aircon (my toes are freezing now). And its far enough from offices so the noisy fans won't drive us nuts!
The network point there was activated a mere in less than a day after I asked for activation, pretty neat, huh?
10.30am-ish - I grabbed a monitor, keyboard and mouse from the meeting room and then Eighty carried the server over and we went online there.
He logged into Berkeley to redirect his remote logins through there. So as he travels in Europe, he'll have to login from Berkeley to get into NUS.
11am-ish - We are calculating time left to the airport for his flight to Belgium (thankfully through SIA).
Ladybug calls to find out where her St. Michael's biscuits are (I hijacked them last night since I knew we'd be starting up at 5am)
Eighty gets some motivation when RadGirl hollers across the drink, "get it up and running already!" See his response!
