Hijacked on a Saturday morning

Category : Singapore Naturalist

Well, an idyllic morning was spent my two captors, Whoapa and the Rabid Monkey. At least we caught breakfast at Ghim Mh before some very confusing time at NUS. Still we got some pretty quick work donein preparation for the 2006 recruitment exercise that'll happen next week at NUS SAVE's Green Carnival.

Then I was of to Sungei Buloh for some meeting, and turned tables on my captors by making them wait for me.

It was a wonderful meeting during which I learnt of many things I had only hoped for in the past 10 years. All about timing I suppose, but it made for such sweet news!

The Rabid Monkey went home satisfied with my SD card and a smile - you can see some of the photos on her site. Despite the overcast sky and somewhat hazy air, they saw and photographed plenty; looks like a really nice walk and they want to bring more Toddycats along the next time..

Eventually we had lunch around 3.30pm. All that driving, we finished listening to Olivia Ong's "A Girl Meets Bossa Nova 2" album - turned out whoapa was a fan, way before we discovered her singing the national anthem.

Dropped off at Clementi Road, I walked the park connector to Ghim Moh and then to HV, where I stopped at an open patch and lazily examined the diversity of grasses and herbs there. Oh well, its easy to entertain some of us!
