Toddycat suspended

Category : Singapore Naturalist

It's interesting what happens around a table in a coffeeshop when volunteers chat after a meeting.

Rabid Monkey, only recently appointed as catalyst for the exhibitions team and who was in the thick of executing the successful showing at the NUS Green Carnival, suddenly found herself suspended from all duties.

The conversation at luch eventually exposed her confusion about her impending thesis title. Although it still very early (famous last words), I figured she was about to finally come to grips with a reaonably lengthy research project. In such circumstances, living and breathing your topic is ideal. Alvin and I can attest, insurmountable obstacles of thought are great catalysts for inspiring very bright ideas about everything else other than your thesis.

So it was best this was all nipped in the bud, and so the Rabid Monkey experienced that famous phrase made popular in Toddycats well before the popular television show, "You're fired!"

There is normally a lack of the exclamation, but this was said under slightly different circumstances and so was said with gusto!

So she is only allowed to ruminate on geographical considerations from 15th November 2006 to 1st May 2007.

Our Manpower Officer was quite eager to de-list her immmediately. Even though he had profited from her catalytic role, some things just have to be done. She'll be able to come out to play later. Other Toddycats have done likewise previously, returning after the dust had settled.

It was a very jovial lynch mob and victim that left the Block 40 hangout...
