I talked to NUS and SMU divers on Mon and Wed respectively about "Marine Conservation in Singapore". This is in keeping with my effort to "talk more" this year. The talk covered status, issues and strategies for action including very simple project designs. The students (including some Toddycats!) seemed interested enough and are in fact already planing to embark on a project at Pulau Aur. Its heartening to see them attempt something.
The SMU campus is a lovely setting and it seems a pity that they are expected to shift out in 2005. I loved it in the days of NIE, and it looked very nice tonight. A campus ground can confer the right mood for study and the Bt Timah campus sets the bar. And its the trees make all the difference!
