JL makes Mt Faber (Marina South, 11th May 2005)

Category : cycling

Suffering surpringly few aches from the Ride for Hope (thanks to the rain), I dragged myself out of bed at 5.00am a few days later to RV with CC, JL and DC for the 'weekly Wednesday pre-dawn Marina South ride'.

Accompanied with my iBook, I was living up to my adopted logo once again (see bottom of this page. Hearing CC was midlly interested in a mac, I decided to upload photos and demonstrate how easily I get galleries up on the web farily quickly.

In order for my iBook to survive the sweat generated by the ride, I have to double pack it in pastic bags - just as well, as it now seems Mt Faber is a regular stop. I persuaded JL up that slope since her mount was not her usual racer but HQ's mountain bike. Taking about as long as I did the first time, I reckon the hills challenge is not out of the queestion - it's now scheduled for 29 May 2005.

I'm a little under the weather from the tough field trip last Sunday which had me shin-deep in hot water(!) an throughly dehydrated, but I hope to be back in action this weekend and next Wednesday. The standard practise now appears to include Vigilante Drive. Sigh.

Finally I change to new tyres, courtesy Hunt on Wheels, as my trusty knobblies have finally worn down to expose their threads after 2.5 years. See how the new ones reflect a beam? I'm set to bring a glow to the road!
