Blogging the NTU Bike Rally 2007

Category : cycling

While I managed a minimal, initial post, some other riders have begun blogging about the round-island ride they experienced at the NTU Sports Club Bike Rally 2007.

143 & 144
Patience was fast, even finding her photo on my blog from the Kranji convoy: See:

She also blogged my shoutout about a better photo within minutes, followed soon after by Alvin (143 & 144)! I realised now I actually noticed them for erm, the white earphones they were wearing. Hope they don't use it on a normal road ride though, its dangeroussssss. I confess that I actually have to fight the urge to use earphones everytime I ride! It's okay once I start, I forget all about it and the road has plenty of challenges to keep me occupied. Coincidentally, The Sunday Times has an article about getting clipped while road-riding.

The misadventures of Albert Teo and other stories
Several posts appeared the following night, see Google Blogsearch. Here are some highlights:

Albert Teo takes the cake - he loses his way?! I have to say that actually takes effort because there were signages, marshals and CISCO. But no, not enough for Albert! He loses the convoy! But is he dismayed? Our hero follows a false leads and is chased by ghosts in an empty stadium. Follow his adventures as he finally navigates to the finish line with the help of helpful roadside uncles. Heh-heh, what a story! Albert is funny and adventurous!

I didn't carry a phone this year, just my handphone. When the sun was bright enough (oh it sure was), the photos were fine! See them in the my flickr album (tagged "ntubikerally2007").

Do tell me if you find other albums online. Looking forward to the organisers' photos too. Speaking of photos, Ladybug was recognised from a photo on the ?webpage but I didn't see it there. Maybe its in the event briefing slides. Anyway, more about that later...

For the riders who found their way here, here are a couple of links that might be of interest.:
