Evan Williams, one of Blogger.com's founders had a blog, EvHead, which I used to follow. It helpfully provided front-end editing a year ago. I lost his feed somewhere between OS migrations and clean installs and lo and behold, never content with Goggle despite their kindness, he's now started up Odeo.com with a neighbour of his.
Kevin is plugging Odeo by providing an introductory movie - he (from Buffalo, NY) highlighted this during an ichat discussion with me while I was in the NUS Science Canteen. Podcasting is another thing I have been examining for natural history education, so it was certainly oppportune!
And look like the syllabus just expanded - blogger, flickr and now odeo.
From the NYT article:
"But Mr. Williams said that the real promise of podcasting might lie not in what it means for conventional radio but in the new forms of expression the medium will permit. "We're going to let people do what they do," he said, "and we'll see what they do and hope they do it a lot."
