I was on a two-day computer spree, posting, processing information and communicating profusely, without talking due to a sore throat that seem to burn up my ear canal as well. The tools I used which made it tolerable, besides the usual desktop productivity tools like DragThing or Textpander were:
Wordpress - blog engine that allows webpages too.
Skitch - image grabs and annotations, immediate server hosting and URL embeds.
Adium - chating since I lost my voice and not worrying if the others were on MSN, Yahoo, GMail Chat or iChat.
GMail - sending large files painlessly, good search engine for archived emails
Google Spreadsheets - colaboratively spreadsheets with public-view acess.
Mailplane - desktop app for GMail with easy switching between gmail accounts.
Ecto - desktop preparation and editing of blog entries, later MarsEdit.
Graphic Converter - batch renaming of photos, re-orientation of photos.
