Tiger, my junkie cat

Category : meow

Its raining cats and dogs so my ride this morning to the northern catchment appears to be off. It's the window-rattling sort of storm that will flood the trail and my kakis, who are obviously regretting the enthusiasm off the previous day this early in the morning have agreed to cancel the ride.

I'm not sad, since my knee has been pretty loose and I have some tough on the knee crab sampling to do tomorrow.

So let me blog about Tiger, my junkie cat instead.

Tiger went nuts over the mud-soaked raincoat from my last ride. He licked and licked and licked, you could hear the scraping sound of his tongue at work. The raincoat was soon covered with his saliva, and later I found a few holes where he must have chewed the thing to extract more flavour.

He used to go nuts over my socks as well and we soon realised we could use him as a smelly foot indicator!Just waggle a toe or two and wait for a reaction.

He also loves the smell of chlorine when I use Harpic crystals during toilet cleaning sessions. When the smell pervades the air, the junkie cat will start prowling the vicinity and flop over in apparent delight.

Outside the koels are singing their heads off and the crows are beginning to wake up. I can hear traffic once again and the remnants of the cold wind is trailing away. I can even hear a chicken!

Off to breakfast...
