BART Map and the ill effects of soft living

Category : travel

Instead of figuring out the trains earlier, I spent most of Vesak and the morning I left editing an essay on disaster, hinsight, isomorphism, active foresight and reviewing some case studies. Amazing how last minute emergencies can find you.

So at San Francisco Airport, I realised there were no trains to Berkeley after 7pm. But there is a reaonable amount of information available and two transfers later, I was dragging my bag through the dark but fairly familiar (from Sept 2005) streets of Berkeley. It was a good way to get a feel fo the place.

Tomorrow, I'll ride back to Balboa Park to met Mel and her husband whom I missed in Sept 2005. I will fill them in on home news, in as much Singlish as I can muster. Amazingly, Su Eng from vancouver just hapens to be coming down on Wed. So we three shall finaly reunite.

Soft living during the Sept 05 trip saw me not pack or the first time, soap and shampoo. Guess what I need? Thankfully the Y provides all purpose body wash. Scrubbed myself clean. But I defintely need to add slippers to the list; don;t think I can keep going barefoot to the showers.

Time to sleep now. Hmm...someone nearby seems to be watching the Ten Commandmants.
